Midwives from the clinic run a maternal and child health day once a week where mothers can learn more about staying healthy during their pregnancies and looking after their newborn babies.  Midwives also attend mothers during birth and are able to reduce the risk of mothers dying by providing a clean environment and early detection of complications that require the mother to go to the hospital. This is helping to reduce the number of children and pregnant mothers dying from preventable causes.
