Catalyst Launches
Baptist World Aid Australia’s Catalyst program equips small groups within churches to advocate on behalf of people living in poverty. This year the groups will focus on three campaigns:
- WASH - urging the Australian government to increase funding to Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) in the aid budget
- False Profits - working to expose the billions of dollars stolen from developing countries each year through the illegal tax practices of western corporations;
- Behind the Barcode - helping to combat slavery, improve conditions for workers in developing countries and assist ordinary Australians to make purchasing decisions that help rather than harm the poor.
