Welcome to Baptist World Aid Australia

How the Matching Grant Fund works

The Baptist World Aid Matching Grant Fund appeal is an opportunity to make your gift go further when it is combined with an Australian Government grant. This grant is made available through the government’s AusAID NGO Cooperative Program (ANCP).

Baptist World Aid Australia is fully accredited with AusAID and is a signatory to the Australian Council for International Development Code of Conduct.

“Fully accredited” organisations are eligible to receive an ANCP grant each year. Recipient organisations like Baptist World Aid are required to ‘match’ the ANCP grant at a 5:1 ratio, so that for every $5 in ANCP funding received, recipient organisations must contribute $1 on a project by project basis.

This financial year, Baptist World Aid has been allocated an ANCP grant set at $2,076,945. These funds, when matched by supporter donations, will make a substantial life-changing impact in Baptist World Aid projects located in Nepal, Bangladesh, Cambodia and Sri Lanka.

We are very grateful to the Australian Government for the ANCP grant and now invite our supporters to make their gift go further by donating to the Matching Grant Fund by 30 June 2012.
