Your gift helps families in Cambodia and Bangladesh to start a small business. Participants will learn specific vocational skills as well as how to run a small business in their community. These skills can transform the lives of a family who are struggling to meet their basic needs. These businesses also often provide a service to the community and sometimes they can even generate further employment opportunities for other community members in the future. 

In the photograph is Chorn. He lost a leg in a landmine accident and had to leave the army, losing his source of income.  For many years he struggled up and down the hills near his home each day trying to collect firewood to sell. With training and a small grant from our partner in Cambodia, he set up a bicycle and motorbike repair shop, which now provides income for his family. He has even been able to improve his home and buy some extra land to produce crops.
