Your gift helps supply vital medical equipment and medicines to mobile health clinics that visit rural communities in Timor Leste. The clinic works to reduce child mortality, improve maternal health and combat HIV, malaria and other diseases. These community-based clinics provide health care in rural areas where little or no other care is available, helping to cure illnesses and prevent deaths.

Each week the clinic staff load up a 4WD with supplies and drive out to a remote community for the day. There they provide health consultations, routine checkups and immunisations for pregnant mothers and babies, informal health education seminars and home visits when required.

Siti, a woman from one of the communities visited regularly by the mobile health clinic said, “We really like it that the clinic comes here, because we don't have to go far or spend lots of money to go to a consultation. We like that the clinic comes here to our place.”
