How it works...
We will send you a unique gift card for each gift you select. These cards can be given in place of a present and show your friends and relatives the life-changing gifts you have given on their behalf, but do not mention price.
Where the money goes...
When you select a gift, you are making a tax-deductible donation to the community development project of which that gift is a part. The dollar value listed for each gift is an estimate of how much this element of the project costs. Your donation funds this element, along with other vital activities of that project.
For example: selecting ‘safer deliveries’ means your $100 will support the PARI project in Bangladesh, helping train traditional birth attendants in rural Bangladesh in health, hygiene and essential midwifery skills. These skills are vital to improve maternal health and provide basic health services to mothers and babies in areas where there are no doctors.
The funds raised from this gift also support other PARI activities, focused on developing the skills and participation of people in the community. These activities include community leadership development, various skills training sessions, nutrition and health education, income generation and micro-fi nance programs, and literacy and numeracy training. |
