This Mother's Day, or for any special occasion, celebrate by giving your friends and family gifts that really change lives!
For the amount you might normally spend on a present, you can reach out across the world and bring life-changing opportunities to people living in extreme poverty.
How it works...
Just to clarify, we don't put rabbits and chickens into boxes and mail them overseas. Instead, each gift represents the life-changing work of the project that your donation supports.
For every gift you select, we will send you a unique gift card which can be given alongside, or in the place of a present. The cards do not mention a dollar value, instead they explain how your donation is helping some of the world's poorest communities.
Where the money goes...
When you select a gift, you are making a tax-deductible donation to the community development project of which that gift is a part. The dollar value listed for each gift is an estimate of how much this element of the project costs. Your donation funds this element, along with other vital activities of that project.
For example, selecting “Fishy Tales” means your $10 will support our partners WDO in Cambodia or PARI in Bangladesh with their training programs. Participants learn how to build and maintain a fish pond to provide fish for a more balanced diet and to sell at the local market. Families are involved in building the ponds themselves are are provided with the first fishlings to get them started. The funds raised from this gift also support the other activities of these partners as they help families combat the interrelated causes of their poverty. Your gift will give people the opportunity to enjoy the fullness of life God intends.

*Please allow two weeks for cardboard cards to arrive. We will endeavor to get cards ordered after December 9th to you in time for Christmas, but there are circumstances beyond our control that may delay postage. Ecards and print your own cards are a great last minute gift option.
Gifts $2 and over are tax-deductible
Please note: should funds raised for a particular item exceed the amount required to meet the need of the project, Baptist World Aid Australia will use the excess funds to help people involved in similar projects.
