Piglets, chickens, rabbits and feed for the animals too. Your gift helps families in Zambia and India learn to rear livestock and generate an income at the local market.  Community members get involved by collecting materials and constructing the cages and pens for the animals. This ultimately encourages a sense of ownership of the project in these rural villages.

Mr. Chibuye first became involved with one of our community development projects in Zambia when he was having problems paying the school fees for his 11 children. He attended a number of training courses to learn how to establish his own income generating activities.

Mr Chibuye now makes a living from animal rearing and running a shop, which have been sufficient to put several of his children through school. At the same time, he is working to expand his activities to other areas to earn more income, and is passing on his new-found knowledge to members of his community
